While unemployment affects everyone, only 1 in every 10 people with complex disabilities are in work. The barriers to employment for disadvantaged people including ill-founded perceptions, can be overwhelming. Currently 50% of our staff remain with us as a job for life – while the other 50% use us as a stepping stone into further employment.
We are a founding member of the Supported Business Alliance that champions disability employment and an active member of the British Association for Supported Employment (BASE)
We have a workforce with a variety of abilities and disabilities. Some staff have been with us for nearly 40 years - and others less than a year.
We are aware that there is a percentage of our workforce that are unlikely to leave CLARITY & Co. as they would struggle due to their support needs. These are our Job For Life colleagues.
Our Pathfinders are those that might have been out of work for some time due to their health condition or disability. They need a bit longer to find their feet and to build up their skill levels and self-confidence to a place where they feel able to put themselves out into the open job market and - with our support - move into alternative work. These staff tend to be with us for up to 2 years.
The Back on Trackers are individuals that just need a little help or a boost to their self-confidence and skill levels. These colleagues are able to transition into other work more easily with the right support, employability skills training and access to opportunities. After about 6 months with us, it is likely that these individuals will be able to move on to other work, creating an opportunity for another person with disabilities to work with us.
CLARITY & Co. manufactures bath, beauty and cleaning products from our semi-automated green powered factory in East London. The job roles available range from working in the lab, manufacturing, packing, filling to customer service, sales and marketing.
A vital and strategic role to maximise revenue and contribution for CLARITY & Co. As the organisation grows and extends into new markets and products, your role is to establish, maintain and develop relationships with new and existing business customers including their distributors, facilities management companies to grow market presence and drive sales. This is a hybrid sales and account management role where you will be able to manage and develop the strategy for winning new business and upselling across our 3 brands: CLARITY, BECO. and The Soap Co. This is a role where you can make a real and tangible difference from day one.
